International PILAR AWARD for e-Learning!
CSU Office of the Chancellor won the 2008 International PILAR Award—(Performance Improvement and Learning Achievement Recognition)—in the highest award category: The Carol Clark Award for Program Excellence. This award recognizes the overall finest training program utilizing learning technology and self-paced employee education.
The award is sponsored by MindLeaders—an employee and performance improvement company with headquarters in Dublin, Ireland specializing in technology-based learning. Nearly 800 companies were eligible to win this award.
Some of the reasons cited for our award were
- The comprehensive approach we used to study learning delivery options for employees
- The 147% increase in professional development participation
- The personal approach we use to motivate and reinforce high levels of participation
- The utilization of webcasting to teach managers how to get the most out of employee participation
We have nearly 2,000 CSU employees participating in our eLearning curriculum with continuous enrollments and annual reactivations.
